Looking at the pd screen, it says "pdp:can't load library" and "pidip:can't load library". <explicative>…
I recall seeing a Using Pd w/Gem tutorial, but can't remember where I saw it. Checking blog to see if the link is on here.
Okay, I know this could be wrong, but I am not finding Gem anywhere in my pd files. If it is built-in and I'm just being dumb, well, ooops. I am going to try something that I saw on http://gem.iem.at/download/GEM.README. I am downloading Gem and unzipping it in pd/gem. So I am going to go into pd right now and create a new folder called Gem.
Now I am downloading gem-0.90.1-NTi586-bin-doc.zip and extracting the files to ___ /pd/gem.
Now I am going to GemInstall.bat and right clicking on it.
I will edit line 3 of the install file to read set PDPATH=C:\program files\\pd and line 6 to read set PDVERSION=0.38.4
I am running the Gem_Install file. A bunch of numbers ran up a screen that flashed onto the monitor. I think that means it's good to go. Let's find out.

No dice. Still same message:
pdp:can't load library
pidip:can't load library
What am I doing wrong?
